Part of Foreign Relations Mission Moves Forward In Washington
The Paul Simon Study Abroad legislation, which would increase fourfold the number of students who study abroad each year, passed this week in the U.S. House of Representatives as part of the Foreign Relations Authorization Act for Fiscal Years 2010 and 2011.
The bill’s passage gives it significant momentum as it moves toward consideration by the U.S. Senate.
The news comes in the same week as a ColoradoBIZ article on the Simon Act and the benefits of study abroad to businesses and Colorado by Cynthia Banks, executive director of GlobaLinks.
