2009 Alumni Photo Contest Winners Capture Moments While Abroad
A generous wallaby. A line of friends walking down a sun-speckled Australian beach. An airborne duo grabbing for sky above the mountains.
They are the moments captured by the three winning photos selected from 350 submissions to the 2009 AustraLearn – AsiaLearn – EuroLearn Alumni Photo Contest.
Congratulations to Michael Lao of California State University – Long Beach, whose shot of a wallaby appearing to offer his ice cream cone of food to a pigeon won the top prize. Lao studied at University of Technology Sydney, Australia.

And 2nd Place went to Megan Fleet of West Chester University, who studied at Griffith University, Gold Coast, Australia.

Finally, 3rd Place was awarded to Justin Porter of Cal Poly – San Louis Obispo, who studied at Queensland University of Technology.
