The Foundation for Asia Pacific Education, a Denver-based nonprofit organization funding scholarships to assist more students to study abroad in the Asia Pacific region, recently awarded scholarships to 82 students attending the AsiaLearn and AustraLearn programs of GlobaLinks Learning Abroad.

The awards included two STA Travel scholarships of $2,000 to two individuals. They are:

• Jessica Pruitt, an International Studies major at the University of South Alabama who will be attending Korea University via AsiaLearn for a semester abroad.
• Laura Schofield, a Business Administration major at American University who will be studying abroad for a semester via AustraLearn at the University of Queensland in Australia.

Katherine Grim of the Univeristy of Kentucky received a $1,000 scholarship to attend Bond University for a semester.

Lauren Ahola of the University of Rhode Island received a $1,000 scholarship to attend Bond University for a semester.

Lauren Flynn of Pennsylvania State University received a $1,000 scholarship to attend Griffith University for a semester.

Kelly Hernandez of the University of Colorado received a $1,000 scholarship to attend Griffith University for a semester.

Jewel Curtis of Furman University received a $1,000 scholarship to attend Griffith University Gold Coast for a semester.

Timothy Bubnick of Miami University received a $1,000 scholarship to attend Griffith University or University.

Marni Garfinkel of the University of Wisconsin- Madison received a $1,500 scholarship to attend Griffith University – Gold Coast for a semester.

Leah Sooy of Northwest Missouri State University received a $1,000 scholarship to attend James Cook University for a semester.

Sarah Hodakievic of the University of Findlay received a $1,000 scholarship to attend James Cook University for a semester.

Megan Zarzycki of Humboldt State University received a $1,000 scholarship to attend James Cook University for an academic year.

Adil Kabir of Augsburg College received a $500 to attend La Trobe University for a semester.

Bradley Bender of Central Michigan University received a $1,000 scholarship to attend LaTrobe University – Bendigo for a semester.

Amy Lanteigne of Rice University received a $1,000 scholarship to attend Monash University for a semester.

Sharralee Drew of the University of Minnesota Duluth received a $1,000 scholarship toward her internship expenses.
