Blake Suhar, AustraLearn alumni, is one of five guys who put together a Big 10 Tour schedule and blog.

Blake Suhar, an AustraLearn alumni who studied abroad in 2007 at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, is joining five other 20-something recent college graduates out of Milwaukee on a mission called “The Big 10 Tour.”

The goal?

Travel to all eleven Big 10 stadiums to soak in that college football Saturday atmosphere and take a time out for fun during these less-than-inspiring economic times.

“For 11 straight weekends we will be traveling to every Big 10 football stadium to watch a game, experience the local traditions, and have a blast along the way,” says, a 23-year-old graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee who likes to travel any way he can. “We are documenting the entire trip on an extensive blog.”

After coming off a tough week in which one member got hit with the swine flu, the group is pulling itself together for week #2 of the tour and is this weekend off to East Lansing, Michigan, to see Michigan State vs. Central Michigan.

Besides Suhar, the group includes Drew Cieszynski, who in 2006 visited all 30 MLB teams in a single season and in the Fall of 2007 visited all 30 NBA teams during just one season, as well as Jeff Harris, Wes Givens and Dan Lawrence.

All claim inexperience when it comes to blogging, but you’ll surely chuckle when you read their bios and other musings. Via the group’s Big 10 Tour blog, visitors can read what Suhar and company are doing – “we plan on dominating at tailgating games, overcooking hamburgers, talking trash with the fans” – and why they’re doing it – “it’s time for some fun stories, some entertainment, and some football!”

The Big 10 Tour guys, who all work for the same unidentified retail company, which happens to have stores in all of the Big 10 locations, are also chronicling their peaks and pitfalls and highlighting people, places and experiences along the way via the blog’s “Hall of Fame,” “Hall of Shame,” and “Trophy Case.”

The tour blog’s followers are building – and not just in the United States but from around the world (Brazil, Ukraine, Romania, Hungary, Egypt). And if you want to join Suhar and the Big 10 gang at a game, just let them know.

Of course, the Big 10 Tour comes with some costs, so the group is raising cash Big 10 Tour T-shirt sales.
